KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has been in operation since 1920, making it the longest serving airline still operating under the same name. With over 32000 employees, the airline is the largest in The Netherlands. KLM’s headquarters is in Amstelveen, and its main hub is at nearby Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. The airline’s first flight was a relatively short one from London to Amsterdam, today, the destinations have grown to over 130 worldwide.

Seat classifications are divided into four categories; World Business Class, Europe Business Class, Comfort Economy and Economy. World Business Class is available on the airline’s long-haul flights, and they feature more space and legroom along with reclining seats that can be moved to completely flat for sleeping. Europe Business is KLM’s short haul service that features seats with expanded legroom and space over economy class.
In-flight amenities include an interactive entertainment system that features audio and video on-demand, language courses, games, television shows and a substantial collection of music. The interactive entertainment system is available on all of KLM’s widebody airliners. Passengers on all long-haul flights can choose from a wide selection of international newspapers, and all World Business Class passengers have access to several international magazines. The Holland Herald, KLM’s in-flight magazine, is available to all passengers regardless of classification.
Flying Blue is a KLM program that allows passengers to earn mileage points that can be used on hotel rooms, flights, car rentals and baggage discounts. There are no fees required to join the Flying Blue program.
