Sleep Instead of Watching Movies
Europe is going to be at least six hours ahead of what you are use to, so the sooner you start prepping your body for the time change, the better off you are going to be. So, instead of staying up late and watching the movies on the in flight entertainment, it is far better for you to try and sleep.
Pre Print Your Boarding Pass
You can preprint your boarding pass at home before you fly. As you need to go through security and potentially customs, you need to save as much time as possible. Printing your ticket helps.
Check Your Passport
Most countries are not going to allow you to enter if your passport expires in less than six months. So, if you are coming up on this, make sure to renew it.
Check Visa Requirements

Eat a Solid Breakfast
Before you fly, make sure to eat a solid breakfast. It is easy to become famished during a long flight, yet you are probably not going to receive much in way of a meal. So, try to eat a larger breakfast with protein.
